Here at MJ Quinn, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Poling Wagon Driver to join the business. The position will be field based visiting sites across Mid to North Wales.
About the Role
The poling team complete the removal and installation of telegraph poles, they will dress the new poles and replace/renew drop wires. As a Poling wagon driver, you are responsible for driving Company vehicles to locations throughout Mid to North Wales to deliver and collect product/equipment as required to the poling operatives on site whilst presenting high standards of professionalism to all stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Transporting BT poles to and from site
- Delivering machinery to site
- Supporting other teams
- Working in a team environment
- Manual handling
Desirables:
- Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
- Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Have a high standard of numeracy.
- Be educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent)
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Have the ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines and manage business expectations.
- Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
- A legal right to work in the UK.
- A Full UK licence which has been held for over 12 months and has 6 or less points.
- HGV Class 1 licence.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)
