About us

St Clair Vets are a busy Primary Care, small animal practice, RCVS accredited, with 2 branch surgeries. We are working closely with our in- House Ophthalmology referral vets, who are based at the Kirkcaldy veterinary centre. Our practice has long history in caring for pets in our community and we pride ourselves on providing the very best care and service for our pets and their owners. Our wonderful Team is at the heart of St Clair Vet – we are one big family!

We enjoy being part of our communities and participate in local events, like Race for life to raise money and encourage team members to take part. St Clair Vet also holds regular social events including Bake offs, Easter Egg hunts, Munro climbing and the famous annual Christmas party.

As an Associate at St Clair Vet, you will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic, large, team of vets across our sites. Across the group we also have an experienced nursing team (including certificate holders in ECC and Exotics) & a wonderful client care team who support us daily.

Here at St Clair Vet, we offer some fantastic ophthalmology referral, and orthopaedic surgery and medicine services, but we equally champion our primary care vets, and the fantastic service we offer for routine and first opinion caseloads.

As a team, we often discuss clinical cases and have monthly team meetings to share knowledge and communications. We work closely with VSS, a local referral centre, who support us with additional in-house CPD events and with difficult cases.

Our variety of experience levels means that we have been able to offer a fantastic new graduate programme that offers great support. We are a nurse training practice and work closely with local universities & training colleges too. We, therefore, have plenty of opportunities for mentoring if this is something you enjoy.

In your spare time, there is a lot to enjoy locally. St Clair Vet is based in wonderful Fife, close to Edinburgh to enjoy some city life and close to the Cairngorms for hiking adventures and the sea for beach walking and water activities. We have excellent travel links, access to good schools and beautiful countryside.

At Linnaeus, we are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all our Associates. We have an amazing team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across our practices and central support office in addition to a confidential Employee Assistance Program which is available for everyone.
