Do you want to work in User Experience as part of our Platform Product Team? Do you enjoy focusing on customers, collaborating with product teams, leading user research and the generation of customers insights; in this role, you’ll continuously challenge assumptions and the current state to create innovative solutions.
We are currently seeking a Lead UX Designer who will be responsible for creating a product experience that results in success for our customers and IDBS.
What we’ll get you doing:
- Mentor and grow junior members of the team in best practice for design, user research and user testing
- Build relationships with customer teams and establish strong channels to test ideas and perform user research with customers
- Gain an understanding of the business objective and concerns of the product manager and product owner so that the user experience that you create (or lead) incorporates and balances their concerns
- Create product design artifacts as needed to support product teams to meet release cycles and IDBS quality management processes
- Obtain and then articulate requirements/understanding of customers’ needs using research methods include UX testing, product analytics, surveys, interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis
- Create and refine User Research approaches and deploy them pragmatically as part of achieving business objectives within the context of product teams
Here is what success in this role looks like:
- Demonstrable portfolio of collaborating and leading stakeholders through all stages of the design thinking process (research, ideation, prototyping, testing, iteration)
- Expertise in obtaining requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis
- Clever deployment of product experimentation methodologies, lean design and ways to promote and measure success
- Strong UI and visual design skills to rapidly create prototypes of relevant fidelity
- Working with product teams to achieve product outcomes in service of business outcomes
- Excellent written and face-to-face communication with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience with B2B software in one or more complex domain (e.g., Finance, Med Tech)
- Understanding and experience of Scientific Research
