At Lookers, we’re striving to make buying and selling vehicles online intuitive, simple and best in class. The opportunity to lead our UX discipline will require you to advocate, implement and share your knowledge of design thinking best practice throughout the digital team.
Reporting to our very experienced Head of Application & Development, John Richardson, you will be joining a great team of around 10 people who are on this journey of delivering a first class service to both the company and our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate, implement and share your knowledge of design thinking best practice throughout the digital team.

Actively collaborate with colleagues, both in and out the digital team throughout discovery and iterative optimisation streams. This will include, but not limited to, planning and facilitating workshops, strategically forming data driven hypotheses and testing concepts.

Understand how and when to use qual and quant data to drive design decisions.

Continuously discover, define and share our user’s core needs, pain points, behaviours and values throughout Lookers.

Plan and scope all design deliverables and rituals.

Support the Product Owner and key stakeholders in shaping the immediate and future user experience of our products.
Qualifications:
As our Lead UX Designer, you will be experienced in working in a professional, B2C, agile environment, working closely and driving collaboration between cross-functional teams. A great skill of yours will be to have a high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm for the UX discipline alongside having a proven user-centred design experience and detailed knowledge of UX methodology and practices not forgetting the excellent facilitation skills and proven track record or planning and running effective workshops.
