Who we are looking for:

· An experienced Lead Test Engineer, who takes responsibility for all test phases from setup to completion

· Acts as the key point of contact for all QA aspects

· Coordinates and supports onshore and offshore QA resources

· Defines quality metrics, and implements measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the application under test

· Takes ownership of the creation, maintenance and execution of manual and automation regression and smoke tests suites

· Uses their experience to confidently determine suitable test coverage based on risk

· Identifies and manages risks – and developing plans to mitigate risks proportionally

· Promotes best practice with respect to testing, assurance and governance within projects.

· Any other tasks reasonably requested

Skills & Experience:

Candidates are expected to have all the following skills;

· Experience in leading functional, non-functional, manual and automated test phases on a project

· A hands-on tester, with a strategic outlook

· Supporting clients through UAT phases

· Strong stakeholder management skills

· Defining and implementing effective test strategies

· Identifying gaps, and driving out best practise

· Training and mentoring team members

· Continually improve the testing infrastructure, tools, and processes

· Leading and mentoring small teams of test engineers

Personal attributes

· Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills

· Is able to push back where required, whilst providing a solid metrics-based rationale

· Effective line management and coaching skills

· A champion for quality, and an eye for detail

Professional attributes

· ISTQB Foundation/Intermediate or similar
