Lead Receptionist Technician. Hairdressing and Beauty. Part Time. 30 Hours per Week. Term Time Only. 40 weeks per year. Permanent.

We are seeking to appoint a Lead Receptionist Technician to join our Hairdressing and Beauty team.

The ideal candidate would hold a recognised qualification in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy and have experience in a similar role or in a Lead Receptionist Technician role. Experience in an educational setting would be advantageous.


Candidates should demonstrate an ability to manage a busy workload and ensure the highest levels of customer service, as you will also help to run the commercial training salon.


Responsibilities for the successful applicant include acting as a First Aider (training will be provided) chair meetings with your team, as well as leading on commercial and business development in the area, training students on reception duties, providing relevant support to the delivery team and students to ensure smooth operation of the area on a day-to-day basis and to complete/update all relevant health and safety documentation in line with college requirements.

Candidates are required to hold the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent)
  • Level 3 vocational qualification in either Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy
  • Level 3 Assessor Award
