An ‘outstanding’ nursery school in Lambeth are looking for a qualified and experienced Lead Nursery Teacher to teach across the nursery with a particular focus on supporting children in the nursery with identified Special Educational Needs

The Role

In this role you will be leading the teaching across the nursery school which caters for 2 – 4 year olds within the borough of Lambeth. As a teacher your duties will include some class teaching for the 3 – 4 year old pupils, management of other staff members, overseeing the curriculum and enrichment activities, assessment of teaching and learning. The role includes leadership responsibilities and you will be directly involved in leading staff and working with management and wider support services across the borough. You should have a good level of professional experience and knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, excellent attention to detail and record keeping. You will be communicating and supporting a diverse range of families and should have excellent inter-personal skills and a calm and professional approach to management. You must hold qualified teacher status to apply and extensive experience teaching in the Early Years sector.

This role is offered on a temp to perm basis and will be paid to scale from the start of the contract. The role is offered with a TLR.

The School

The Nursery School offers term-time education from 2 – 4 years old and is part of a federation of nursery across the borough of Lambeth. They run as a school and therefore are only open during term-time and school hours. At their most recent Ofsted they achieved outstanding and are a very popular choice of nursery for the local community. Staff are very happy and this is a wonderful opportunity to join an outstanding nursery school.

  • Middle / Senior leadership experience
