Already providing care to over fifty-thousand patients every year, we are one of the fastest-growing veterinary organisations in the country.

About This Role

We are growing our hospital sites and have an exciting new opportunity for an Inpatients and Nurse Led Consulting Team Leader. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will coordinate with the Theatres and Procedures Team Leader to develop our provision of nursing services. As a member of our management team, it’s paramount that you have a passion for developing others. You will hold regular 1-to-1s with your team along with performance development reviews, and keep them constantly updated with team and company news as communicated by the Senior Leadership Team. You won’t be afraid to tackle issues head-on, but you will also celebrate success and recognise achievements.

You'll be working to deliver exceptional inpatient ward services and develop our nurse led consulting streams, with a philosophy of innovation and evidence-based continuous improvement.

About You

  • Ordering of pharmaceuticals and consumables in accordance with practice budget
  • Ensure effective discharge of patients by the inpatient team
  • Optimise nurse rota to play to individual’s strengths and potential
  • Report any equipment failure efficiently to minimise inpatient ward disruption
  • Keep accurate Smart Flow records in accordance with Practice Standards regulations
  • Lead and participate in daily huddles and team briefings
  • Hold quarterly 1-to-1s, performance development reviews and be an advocate for Animal Trust ethos
  • Work closely with team leaders to develop inpatient and consulting services
  • Review processes and protocols with a view to progressing and improving services
