The Trust seeks a registered nurse to lead and support the post-registration portfolio at LNWH NHS Trust. This position reports to the Head of Multi Professional Education & Development and requires a collaborative, inclusive, and compassionate approach. The post holder will provide strategic and operational leadership for post-registration education, ensuring the delivery of Our Way Forward Strategy, Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Strategy, and LNWH People Plan. They will oversee the development and delivery of training programs for the current and future workforce and is the direct line manager for the Service and practice facilitators.

The post holder will play a crucial role in developing the Education strategy and identifying learning opportunities with senior staff in the divisional team at the Trust. They will collaborate with education colleagues across the Integrated Care System for NWL to develop a coordinated approach to health and social care education strategy. Additionally, they will ensure the delivery of an integrated education, learning, and development service to meet the workforce's and partner organizations' needs.

They will be responsible for raising the profile of the Trust by submitting applications for national and international awards and presenting work undertaken on behalf of the Trust.

The post holder will manage an integrated team of education, learning and development professionals and services, responsible for delivering:

  • Clinical Education
  • support the rollout of Advance Apprenticeships for nurses, midwives and AHPs
  • Maintain an overview of the Essential skill training for Nurse, Midwifery and AHP
  • Clinical skills to support advanced practice
  • Curriculum development in partnership with relevant universities to meet the needs of evolving services and the workforce.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the NWL Academy, key stakeholders and partners, both in health and social care, in the development and delivery of education and workforce development. This includes the local Universities and Colleges and Health Education England, as well as service leads across health and social care, for example the local councils and General Practice environments.

Education Qualification

Essential:
1. Registered practitioner with current professional registration (NMC)
2. Masters degree in relevant subject.
3. Relevant Education Qualification (PG Cert Clinical Education or equivalent).
4. Evidence of relevant study and continuing professional development.
5. Post registration leadership development.

Desirable:
1. Experience of clinical and educational programmes
2. Experience of international recruitment
3. Project management qualification

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:
1. Knowledge of current clinical issues and the changing landscape of the NHS
2. Experience of, understanding of managing HEE funding streams.
3. Good understanding of regulatory requirements from the Care Quality Commission, and other regulatory bodies
4. Highly developed persuasive, motivational and negotiating skills.
5. Understanding of the principles and practice of
6. Knowledge of clinical audit and evaluation of services.
7. Demonstrable record of partnership working and stakeholder engagement

Desirable:
1. Evidence of participation in clinical supervision and Professional Nurse Advocate programme
2. Excellent understanding human resources policy and practice
3. Experience of programme design and project management in the implementation of workforce development strategies
