Team: Assessment and Quality Assurance

Location: Home/Mobile
Contract: Permanent 35 hours, Monday to Friday with possibility of occasional evening and weekend work

Salary: £38,985 to £41,855

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for x3 Lead Internal Quality Assurers to join our Assessment and Quality Assurance Team..

NOCN are recruiting for Lead IQA's in the following sectors:-

x1 Lead Internal Quality Assurer (Business/Health/Personal Skills)

x2 Lead Internal Quality Assurer (Construction/Engineering)

Reporting to the Head of Assessment and Quality Assurance and acting as line manager for Internal Quality Assurers, Assessors and the Quality Assurance Officer.

As an IQA, you will be responsible for providing an excellent service for training providers, learners, and employers by:-

  • Ensuring Assessors fulfil assessment bookings, act in line with the Assessors’ code of conduct, making consistent and evidence-based assessment decisions and writing high quality reports;
  • Ensuring Assessment practices and decisions are fair and consistent by implementing the risk-based approach to internal quality assurance;
  • Ensuring Assessment and internal quality assurance practices are efficient and compliant by adhering to NOCN policies, procedures, and processes;
  • Promoting a positive perception of the apprenticeships service to training providers, apprentices, and employers.
  • Undertaking own caseload of assessment and internal quality assurance;
  • Supporting the development of NOCN products and NOCN approvals as relevant to own occupational competence.

Key Requirements, Qualifications and Knowledge:

The successful candidate must:-

  • Be educated to Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
  • Be educated to Level 4 or above.
  • Be committed to continuing professional development.
  • Have gained occupational competence* in one or more of construction, engineering, business, health and personal skills) and assessor qualification or working towards.
  • Have gained an internal quality assurance qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Have experience of managing a team of mobile workers/contractors to achieve consistently high standards of performance.
  • Have experience of working productively across teams.
  • Have current experience of undertaking assessment.
  • Have a willingness to travel.
  • Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.

The following qualifications/experience are desirable but not essential to the candidate's application:-

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience of proactively evaluating and reviewing business procedures, process and systems.
