About the Role:
The Faculty of Health Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses including doctoral level studies. Our new School of Medicine was established in 2018, and offers a five year undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (A100) course. We also offer a Physician Associate course, as well as a wide range of postgraduate short courses and conferences. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality research-informed educational experience.

ARU has been awarded funding by Health Education England to support education, training and workforce development outcomes for Integrated Care Systems.

We are recruiting a Pharmacy feasibility lead. The role will produce a business plan for ARU pharmacy courses and lead subsequent course development. The specific courses being developed will be both short e.g., Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for pharmacy registrants, and long e.g., a Pharmacy Technician degree apprenticeship and MPharm. The business plan will need to include various options to progress one or more pharmacy courses, with consideration of risks, benefits and costings and the successful applicant will lead the identified developments. This role will need to work with other areas within ARU and our external partners throughout this process.

With a higher degree in Pharmacy and a GPC registered pharmacist, you will have successful teaching experience at Higher Education level and relevant commercial or professional experience. You will have thorough understanding of the GPhC professional standards for the education and training of pharmacists, excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to think innovatively.
