Responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer on the team, you will play a key role in central aspects of our online games infrastructure. This will include architecture, design, implementation, and testing.
Development of our client, web, frontend, and backend services and APIs
Evangelise best practices through effective consultation with your peers
Work with 3rd party vendors and continually review the latest technologies to help us stay ahead of the game
Engage with the operations and engineering teams to automate and improve our tools and processes
Write, review and take responsibility for technical documentation
Requirements - If you have most of the following, then we definitely want to hear from you.
5 Years + software/UI/App development in the gaming or digital media space
Strong teamwork and leadership skills, ideally having fulfilled leadership or mentorship duties
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Native app and Cross-Platform development experience
Integration with Restful API’s
Good knowledge of C/C++
Strong experience developing for multiplatforms such as iOS, Android, Desktop or Games Consoles
Experience of hardware video decoding and WebRTC an advantage
Strong knowledge of Git source control and tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Some experience with DevOps tools e.g Jenkins
Desirable - but not essential
Other programming language experience such JAVA, Python, PHP, Go
Experience of frontend frameworks and libraries (React, etc.)
Experience of writing games
Linux / Bash experience
Cloud environments - experience with Azure will be a significant advantage
Virtualisation and containerisation - Hyper-V, VMWare, Docker etc
