The Opportunity

This is an exciting lead role in our data department for an experienced Data Engineer to work on our modern cloud data platform. We currently undertaking an ambitious data transformation that will set the future of Data at Landmark as well as changing the property industry.

This is a broad and varied role that will work across our Data Insights and Data Engineering functions and would suit a candidate who is seeking cross functional roles and looking to step up to a Data Tech Lead/Architect role. You will be involved in created data-as-product solutions and continuing our journey into the Lakehouse. This role entails:

  • Creating CI/CD deployment pipelines, data pipeline creation, and will be involved in designing and socializing architectural solutions.
  • Design, and build cloud-based data/ML architectures that underpin Landmark's solutions and data holdings.
  • Converting data science prototypes into scalable Data Products
  • Provide strong thought leadership as well as leading the delivery and rollout of the on-prem to cloud data migration project.

The ideal candidate will be able to inspire, lead and mentor others and take them along on the journey. You will also have effective communication skills plus

  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including cloud data architectures, data transformation tools, data governance techniques.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Quality and Information Security principles.
  • Essential skills:
    • ETL Tools such as ADF and Databricks
    • Python, PySpark, Spark SQL
    • Working knowledge of Data&ML architecture patterns
  • Highly desirable skills:
    • Azure Data & Delta Lake & Databricks Lakehouse
    • Azure Cognitive Services
    • Working knowledge of Data science and ML
  • Desirable skills:
    • Geospatial experience
    • Working Knowledge of Data warehousing
