AWE are currently recruiting for a HR Associate to work in the HR function on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This is an ideal entry level role for someone with a strong administration background with an interest in gaining experience within a HR role.
This role will be to provide efficient and effective administrative and transactional HR services and be first point of contact support for the business, working to agreed service levels and delivering excellent customer service.
Location – Reading / Basingstoke area

You will be required to:
- Deliver high quality, timely and accurate transactional services, covering the training services within SLA requirements
- Deliver high quality HR guidance to customers, providing first point of contact services (via telephone, email and walk-ins) and resolution of queries, adopting a culture of customer and service excellence
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
- Maintain workload and case trackers to enable the reporting of service performance and identification of improvements
- Ensure local work instructions are followed to maintain process compliance (with regard to legal, regulatory and internal requirements) and quality
- Ensure HR related documentation (hard copy and electronic) is appropriately handled, managed and retained in compliance with data privacy regulations, including supporting the archiving process
- Ensure the HR Information System is accurately updated and transactions are processed in a timely fashion
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
- Good standard of general education, with proven literacy and numeracy
- CIPD Level 3 would be desirable
- Customer service skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint or a large ERP system
- Experience of working in a service orientated team delivering transactional / administrative tasks
