Our office is located in San Francisco with projects located in San Francisco and Marin County.
About You:
You are a dedicated, experienced (8 plus years) carpenter who is wanting to learn and move up to the position of a foreman. You have the desire and communication skills to lead others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of carpentry, both rough and finish.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Operates power tools in a safe manner to include table saws, radial arm saws, miter saws, skill saws, table and hand planers and drills.
- Ability to lead a team and work directly with customers
- Prepares layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
- Performs carpentry tasks as assigned and has the ability to work independently
- Communicates all pertinent job-related information to supervisor on a daily basis.
- All communication with client should be professional and communicated directly to supervisor.
- Neighborhood courtesy should be practiced including where vehicles are parked.
- Reports any job site problems or safety issues and concerns to supervisor as soon as possible.
- Must clock in/out with proper “activity” code used within Co-Construct.
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Willing to take a carpentry skills and plan reading competency test if requested
