Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft Court-related documents, including pleadings, applications, affidavit of documents, and/or affidavits of service, for the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and/or Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario;
- Drafting letters and correspondence to various third parties including government agencies;
- Answering incoming calls from prospective and existing clients;
- Screening callers regarding their reasons for the call and completing preliminary interview forms to better assist lead counsel;
- Take messages and relay to staff via email;
- Address incoming email requests for consultations;
- Filing (electronic and/or paper);
- Mail sorting, scanning documents and client intake;
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Summary
- Previous law firm experience is required;
- Answer incoming phone calls;
- Effectively communicate (verbally and written) information with team members and clients;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- High organization skills and strong time management;
- Excellent Customer Service;
- Detail-oriented;
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities;
- Ability to prioritize and follow instruction;
- Work independently and as a team;
- Ability to work under pressure and complete time sensitive tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $38,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
