Hello!
Our office specializes in real estate, wills/estates and corporate work and are looking for a law clerk to join our team to assist in our real estate department.
We have a flexible start date. Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively on files are important for our productivity and to maintain our congenial working environment.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls and greeting all clients coming into the office;
- Independently managing real estate transactions from start to finish, including drafting all documents and correspondences with other solicitors through to reporting to clients;
- Opening files in PC Law and inputting data using conveyancing software for real estate transactions;
- Assisting with client relations and calls to third parties such as realtors and lenders;
- Assisting with deposits and withdrawals at various banks;
- Scanning documents to Sharepoint;
- We have up-to-date estate, corporate and real estate software.
Access to a vehicle and driver's licence would be an asset.
Minimum experience of two years as a real estate clerk required.
In the winter months we complete CPDs/ courses together as a team.
We offer paid parking at a downtown lot next to our office.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- Secondary School (required)
Experience:
- law clerk/ legal assitant: 2 years (preferred)
