Responsibilities and Duties
- Effectively track deadlines and timelines
- Complete various forms, applications
- File summaries, LAT case conference, motions and settlement briefs
- Prepare letters to clients, insurance companies, medical offices, etc.
- Handling work proactively on file from intake to resolution
- Communicating with team members and clients to ensure that all documents are in order and the file is up to date
- Administrative tasks; scanning, photocopying, answering phones, scheduling meetings etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Program
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accident Benefits/Law Clerk in Personal Injury Law Firm
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining superb organizational skills
- Ability to deal effectively and pleasantly at all times with colleagues, clients and 3rd parties
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and limitations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, with an excellent attendance history
- Ability to learn additional software applications with ease
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exude a positive attitude
- Willing to learn new material
