Join the ESC Corporate Services team for this exciting opportunity! Reporting to the Operations Supervisor in Vernon, BC, or Toronto, ON, the Search & Registration Clerk will provide administrative support to ESC’s customers in processing, organizing, and reporting search and registration results related to the Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA).

What you'll do:
You will conduct due diligence, document preparation and various filings on behalf of ESC's clients.
- Prepare and file electronically Articles of Incorporation, Business Style Names, Initial Returns/Notices of Changes, Annual Returns across Canada
- Coordinate the fulfillment of Manual Filings with the Ontario Ministry - Incorporations, Amendments, Dissolutions, Amalgamations, Limited Partnerships and Renewals
- Coordinate, prepare and file Extra-Provincial Registrations across Canada
- Monitor submitted filings to ensure client timelines are met
- Report and invoice completed filings to the clients
- Communicate with clients by phone and email on the filing process procedures and requirements
- Assist clients related to ordering searches including securities, corporate searches and NUANS requests
- Other duties as requested by Management.
Position Requirements:
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent education plus 1-2 years of experience working in an office or legal environment.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Business Corporations Act, Canada Business Corporations Act, Limited Partnerships Act and Business Names Act.
- Knowledge of the legal sector workflow.
- Experience with provincial registries and applicable rules and requirements would be an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset.
