Laundry Assistant

About You

We and looking for someone who has excellent communication, numeracy and organisational skills. Previous experience working within a laundry environment would be desirable however not essential. You will need to be able to work well under pressure with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. You will be a supportive team player, patient and have a flexible, motivated and adaptable approach.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

  • Receiving and managing incoming laundry batches and ensuring they are laundered and returned to the relevant nurseries.
  • Following processes and procedures to launder the incoming loads efficiently and hygienically.
  • Following all processes and procedures to ensure the laundry hub is clean and sanitised
  • Use personal protective equipment wherever supplied and required.
  • Record and restock laundry supplies
  • Work with the laundry hub driver to ensure collection and delivery routes are efficient and optimise the operation of the laundry hub.
  • Ensure that sustainable practices are embedded and used to ensure the laundry hub is as eco-friendly as possible.
  • Work with colleagues, key workers, and other agencies as appropriate.
  • Coach colleagues to support and deputise yourself in this role.
  • Ensure all laundry processes, policies and risk assessments are followed. Contribute to updating those policies where required.
