Job Title: Spanish Language Instructor

Schedule: Mon01:00-04:00 PM & Tue-Fri 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Total Instruction Time: 145 Hours

Hourly Rate: $28

Language on Demand, Inc. is in Northern Virginia (United States) offering a full range of language and staffing services to the government and commercial clients.

Description:

LOD is seeking an in-person Spanish Language Instructor to teach a working adult student located in Annandale, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct student's target language level assessment and prepare a material and lesson plans for the student.
• Emphasis and focus should be to maximize the student's foreign language proficiency in Spanish modalities of Listening, Reading, and Speaking, and to improve use of verb tenses, vocabulary and communication skills.
• Instructor should assign appropriate assignments after each class.
• Instructor should evaluate student's progress and prepare progressive reports.

Qualifications:

• Native-level proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in formal classroom instruction to students at a high school level or above.
• Instructor must possess prior experience in class preparation, course development and modification, and/or tutoring within a structured educational setting.
• A proficiency level appropriate for the target language shall be clearly demonstrated. For example, a language rating of interagency language roundtable (ILR) level 3/3/3 or American Council on the Teaching of Foreign languages (ACTFL) Superior or higher in the specified foreign language in speaking, reading, and listening.
