Land Train Driver
Job Purpose
You will be responsible for driving guests on the land train, safely to and from Searles Leisure Resort and the Old Hunstanton Light House. The Land Train has various routes and stops to drop off or collect guests. You will work closely with the land train conductor and assist guests with boarding and payment.
As this is a customer facing role you will be a friendly and confident person with excellent people skills and a passion to deliver great customer service. You will be able to work in a small team. This role requires liaising with guests so the postholder should be a confident communicator and have prioritising skills.
The business
Searles Leisure Resort is a family run resort that has been offering holidays on the North Norfolk coast of 'Sunny Hunny' for over 83 years.The Resort consists of over 360 Owners, 150 hire fleet and over 200 tourer and tent pitches and is based south of Hunstanton. There are many facilities at Searles, including a large Clubhouse and Restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an 18- and 9-hole golf course. Searles is graded 5 stars by Visit England and is the Norfolk and Suffolk Camping/Glamping and Holiday Park winner for 2020.
Salary: Hourly pay up to £13.45 per hour
· Contract & Hours of Work
Seasonal Fixed term (mid-March till the first week of March), 37.5-hours per week, including weekends and bank holiday working.
Please note, we are a 7-day a week operation in the peak periods. Some shifts will include split shifts, weekends, public / bank holidays.

Job responsibilities
· Driving the Land Train in accordance with the specified route whilst adhering to the UK Highway Code and Company Policy.
· General maintenance/refueling and cleaning of the Land Train.
· Completion of maintenance checklists as specified by the procedure.
· Assist the conductor with collecting fares, issuing tickets and security of cash handling. Completion of reconciliation sheet at the end of each day.
· Securing the land train at the end of each day.
· Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to. Report any breach of Health & Safety witnessed by you to a manager and/or Health & Safety Representative.
· Report any maintenance issues to Estate Director.
· To perform any other duties as required.
Requirements
· Full Clean valid Driving Licence for UK, with Category D (PSV/PCV) entitlement, no restrictions
· Compliance with Part VI of the transport Act 1968
· Age 30+ due to insurance restrictions
