Land & Measured Building Surveyor

Job Purpose
We are looking for an organised and personable individual with a keen eye for detail to support our expanding Surveys division. The ideal applicant must have at least 2-3 years’ experience of producing land and measured building surveys and must be able to demonstrate experience in the use of a wide range of survey instrumentation, along with the post processing skills required to produce a detailed final 2D / 3D survey.
Experience of multi-disciplines would be an advantage.
Main Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients to arrange appointments to visit properties.
- Organise your own diary and manage your appointments in accordance with our standard procedures.
- Undertaking land, topographic, measured building surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotic EDMs and 3D scanners.
- Register point clouds, check and prepare survey drawings as required.
- Send the final drawings to the clients in the required specification and format.
- Answer client calls & emails and deal with requests.
- General administration tasks and support to the line Manager and division.
- Occasional travel and overnight stay may be required.
Skills and Attributes
- Energetic and enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and without direct supervision.
- General business / IT skills (use of CRM system and MS Office apps).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Proficient in using Leica Total Station or similar EDM and processing software.
- Proficient in using 3D laser scanners and processing software.
- Experience of N4ce would be beneficial
- Experience of Autodesk Recap would be beneficial
