Job description

Founded in 1960 we have over 60 years operating experience in the Plant, Accommodation and Vehicle Rentals business.

You would be responsible for general yard duties, cleaning and maintaining plant ready for hire. This role is an essential part of our Customer Service directly contributing to the success of the Company and our Clients.

Being a team player is vital in this role, but you’ll also be able to work on your own. We pull together in a busy environment, and like you, we take real pride in delivering excellent service to our customers. This roles is based in our Depot in Nairn.

What part will you play in our team?

Duties would include but are not limited to;

  • General yard duties
  • Washing Plant
  • Loading & unloading of vehicles
  • Professionally and effectively checking for defects such as; checking the plant for signs of abuse, check tyres/tracks/ rams, ensure all components have been returned.
  • Record missing items
  • Record meter readings, fuel levels etc.
  • Ensure all damages are recorded & notified to the hire desk.
  • Present collection note for customer signature & return to hire desk.
  • Ensure the plant number is verified on the collection note.
  • Recognise and report whether continued use of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Drive for some deliveries and collections local to the depot.

Experience in using a Forklift Truck is desirable. Knowledge of Plant machinery would be an advantage but is not essential. A valid and clean driving licence is preferable.
