GRG Waste UK is a waste to resource management company, the parent company Guernsey Recycling Group is headquartered in Guernsey in the Channel Islands. GRG is a growing and currently owns 9 companies employing over 200 staff in Guernsey, Jersey, UK and the Cayman Islands. In the UK, GRG has become a market leader for hazardous and liquid waste and is driven by the principles of sustainability; over 80% of waste received is either recycled or recovered. GRG Waste UK is made up of 4 companies BKP Waste & Recycling, Greenway Environmental, Novum and Chloros Environmental that work in unison to offer a wide range of services.
We currently have a vacancy for a Labourer at Greenway Environmental’s Bootle site. Greenway are experts in the hazardous waste industry, handling a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including corrosive liquids, paints and solvents, contaminated rags, oil sludge and filters, aerosols, oxidisers, WEEE and resins. Greenway operate a Total Waste Management division which offers a full service solution from site visits and sampling to container supply and transportation. Greenway pride themselves in offering industry-leading response times for their services and turning waste into energy, through innovative and sustainable solutions.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Unloading of deliveries and loading of external bound loads.
- Safe internal transfer and storage of materials on site
- Preparation of outbound TFS loads
- Bulking of waste materials as required
- Operating the newly installed aerosol shredder
- Assisting Chemists with duties as required
- General maintaining of housekeeping standards on site
- Compliance with high standards of Health and Safety, to include PPE, at all times
- Ad hoc duties to be advised by your line manager

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Liverpool: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- forklift driving: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- RTITB Forklift license? (preferred)
