Job description
Introduction
Evolve Facility Services was established in 2010 and is one of the largest in-house service providers in the UK, with offices in Widnes, Liverpool, Manchester, Carlisle and County Durham.
We’re proud to be part of The Riverside Group family, and look after around 80% of Riverside’s stock – that’s over 40,000 properties based across the Northwest, Northeast and North of England.
Our Mission is to keep our customers’ homes safe, secure and well maintained – it’s what we do.
We’re now looking for a Labourer to join our friendly team in Newcastle to carry out labouring tasks and support Trade colleagues to complete maintenance and repairs in occupied and unoccupied premises across the Northeast.
The difference you’ll make
You’ll play a crucial role in supporting our frontline colleagues to provide an excellent service to our customers by completing jobs to a high standard.
You can operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills / breakers and other tools as directed by management and subject to the correct training being provided. You may also be required to clear gardens including strimming (subject to training), general waste and to responsibly dispose of all materials at designated recycling centres.
So, who are you?
We’re looking for someone with previous labouring experience in the building/maintenance/construction trade. Previous experience of working in a social housing setting is desirable but not essential.
A full UK driving license is required.
Enjoy the rewards
We’re asking a lot from our new Labourer, but this is a job that offers you the chance to make a real difference to our customers and the communities we serve.
As part of the Riverside family, we’re focused on being an employer of choice, where people thrive and your voice is truly heard. You’ll enjoy competitive pay, and a wide range of benefits, including:
- 20 days’ annual leave plus 8 UK bank holidays
- A company van for business use
- A defined contribution pension scheme
- Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave with enhanced pay (subject to eligibility)
- Access to wellbeing benefits, such as our Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Groups and The Workplace Trust
- Fantastic colleague discounts at a host of retailers
If you’re the kind of person that wants to do a really great job and make a difference to our customers and colleagues, we think you’ll love it here.
We recognise that our colleagues are our greatest asset and want every single person to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work.
