Job description
Worker required at Whitethorn Farm in Herefordshire to help run our packhouse. The work includes
grading and packing fruit grown on the farm to fulfil customer orders
managing cold stores
Juicing apples, bottling, labelling etc to make apple juice
Normally 8-5, 5 days a week will vary according to season to include some earlier starts and later finishes but minimum hours guaranteed. The role will include some horticultural work, picking apples and pears.
Previous packhouse experience not necessary but you will need to demonstrate that you are organised and can work efficiently often unsupervised. You will need to be physically able to carry and stack boxes of produce.
This role will run until about Xmas time. Option to extend. This role would suit a gap year student wantiong to earn before travelling.
You will need your own transport as the farm is not on public transport routes.
Pay according to age and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
