About the role:
We are currently seeking a Surface Miner to join our Surface Team at our Twentymile Mine location. The Hourly Range for this position is between $36.096and $38.72 depending on experience.
Reporting to the Surface Foreman. The scope of your role will be to Perform all necessary work on the surface including operating the washplant, surface equipment, loading of trucks and trains.
Duties will include:
- Operation of the Wash Plant control room and buildings
- Operation of all surface equipment such as front-end loader, dozer, bobcat, tipple equipment, loadout facility, etc.
- Perform comprehensive equipment walk-arounds
- Supply all equipment with appropriate lubrication and fluid levels consistent with established procedures and checklists.
- Assure good housekeeping throughout all surface areas. (Machinery, buildings, pumphouses, and surface mobile equipment etc.)

- General maintenance background
- Welding and cutting skills
- General electrical knowledge
- Surface equipment operation skill and knowledge
- Tipple and wash plant knowledge
- Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts Mining
- Experience Preferred
- Certifications preferred (Mine foreman, EMT, Electrical)
Physical requirements:
- Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
- Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
- Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and ladders
- Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle),
