About The Role
Hippo Digital is recruiting for a Bid Manager/Writer to join our newly created Bid function. Reporting to the Bid Lead, you will be operating in a small team responsible for maximising Hippo’s chances of winning and delivering great work for our public and private sector clients.
This is a full time role that can be based remotely, or we can also support hybrid or office based working through our Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham offices.
What you will do:
- Manage a range of public sector bids for digital consultancy work
- Maintain a content library to refresh and restructure response content as required
- Track and monitor overall bid performance
- Ensure bid frameworks identified and submissions are completed in a timely fashion to ensure Hippo’s inclusion on relevant framework sections
- Ensure bids are identified from relevant sources at the point of publication
- Complete bid planning with the response manager to pull together the right team
- Manage multiple bids at any one time with various stakeholders
Skills and experience that you need
- Excellent writing skills (punctuation, spelling and grammar) with a demonstrable ability to condense writing and tailor your style to the relevant audience
- Previous bid management experience with a methodical approach to organising, communicating and monitoring team progress
- Good stakeholder management skills, with an ability to demonstrate how insights can support the strategic objectives of your organisation
- Be comfortable having your findings challenged by stakeholders and the ability to clearly explain your rationale and insights
- Knowledge/experience of the Digital Marketplace procurement process, agile methodology and digital consultancy practice is preferred but not essential

Hippo locations
Our Hippo offices are in Leeds, London, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester. However, we invite candidates to apply from anywhere in the UK who can be flexible regarding location. We offer a relocation support package of up to £8k to help cover the cost of moving somewhere within commuting distance of one of our locations. Please note that due to the nature of the business, we may also request that you work from client locations or your home.
