As a dynamic business we need to have the right people who are as passionate as we are about our mission to protect people on the move and to support this, we have a new position to grow our data and managment information analysis function aimed at supporting teams across our business in generating consistent and reliable management information for strategic planning and general management decisions.
This role is pivotal, involving the analysis of client and sales performance data to create management data packs, pipeline forecasts, and support Sales and Operations processes, among other responsibilities. Reporting to our Service Delivery Director, we are seeking a proactive individual with the ability to bring forth new ideas, insights, and analyses that go beyond the scope of the requests made.
Your day to day:
- Develop sophisticated decision support systems to assist in strategic and tactical decision-making, including capacity planning (S&OP), dashboards, scorecards, and trend analysis.
- Design data-driven models to provide ongoing support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop simulations and general business models that help identify inefficiencies and make recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support the development of annual business plans and target setting requirements across multiple functions (Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.).
- Initiate and lead projects to assess business performance, propose changes in working practices to the SLT, and actively participate in the implementation process.
- Provide a comprehensive analytical service to the SLT, identifying trends, highlighting areas of concern, and recommending solutions to enhance business performance.
- Continuously review the reporting of management information and statistical analysis to ensure alignment with business requirements, suggesting changes to meet evolving business needs.
- Deliver a range of weekly, monthly, and year-to-date reports to align with the business meeting schedule.
- Establish and maintain processes and systems that ensure the highest level of data quality in business systems (e.g., MS Dynamics or similar systems).
- Provide data analysis and insights to support marketing activities and campaigns.
- Provide data analysis and insights to support product lifecycle analysis and new product development, working closely with product management teams.
- Conduct external market analysis to present information on market trends and market share in target markets.
This role is a full time, permanent role; 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday based at our Telford head office (TF1 6QJ) with hybrid working options once settled into your role with excellent development opportunities.
The ideal candidate:
- Technical awareness/experience with databases (e.g., SQL) and a strong analytical problem-solving mindset.
- Confidence in presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in manipulating and analysing data using tools such as MS Excel (essential) and Power BI (desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting data analysis and insights to a broader business audience (e.g., sales and leadership).
- Solid understanding of standard business processes related to Sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, and MS Dynamics.
- Knowledge of client segmentation techniques and analysis.
- Familiarity with MS Dynamics CRM and associated processes.
- Demonstrable experience in an analysis equivalent role
- Self-starter with the ability to manage workload independently and achieve agreed objectives and targets.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and external channel partners.
