£10.90 - £11.70 Depending on qualification – Driving Licence Preferred - Due to continued growth, we are urgently seeking full time (37.5 hours per week) to join our team in Redruth

We support a gentleman to live in his own self contained bungalow attached to his parents property. He has a good sense of humour and enjoys a laugh and joke with his team. He has mobility issues and we support him with his electric wheelchair. He has a great passion for all sports and enjoys going swimming once a week. He also enjoys going out to eat. A driver is required due to the rural location of the property.

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Cornwall, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support which enables independence and meets individual’s needs. Through our outcome focused approach, we support people to maximise choice and control in their own lives .We meet with each person referred and their family so that we can develop a strong understanding of their life story, any support or communication needs and their personal aspirations.
We work in partnership with Local Health Professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Person Centred Planning Our staff support each person to create a person-centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan.
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including
- Prompting service users independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administrating medication
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
- Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
