Position:
Purpose of Role
To support the day to day operation of the Toxicology Laboratory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining a fully stocked laboratory which includes participating in routine laboratory cleaning and the environmental monitoring procedure.
- Ensure purchased stock levels of required consumables are at an optimal level and quality within the department.
- Preparation of reagents as required in accordance with SOPs and strict expiry dates
- Monitoring of equipment calibration due dates, scheduling of calibration/preventative maintenance visits as required and according to QMS guidelines.
- Maintenance of equipment records.
- Calibration of pipettes, balances and thermometers
- Daily documentation of temperature control checks, expiry dates, QA passed materials and stock goods received as required
- Assist with the destruction, returns and correct storage of exhibits.
- Assist with pagination / archiving / retrieval of case files
- Disposal of laboratory waste.

Qualifications
A levels in a scientific subject desirable

The role is full time (37 hours per week) and based at our laboratory in Warrington.
