Job description
We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join the Group B Streptococcal serology laboratory at St George’s, University of London. The post holder will play a pivotal role in conducting high through put sample analysis of clinical trial samples and contribute towards epidemiological and vaccine research relating to neonatal infectious diseases. We would like to hear from candidates with an interest in infectious disease and immunological research and who are looking for an evolving role with future opportunities within academia.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Undergraduate degree in a biological subject.
- Previous lab experience with a proven understanding of conducting experiments accurately and health and safety.
- Interest in conducting ELISA and multiplex immunoassays within a regulated laboratory.
- Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Excel for data handling and analysis.
- Strong organisational, time-management, team working and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
