Job description
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager on a daily basis, covering various day to day jobs, also development work, typical responsibilities below:
- To Assist with the day to day production testing
- Responsible for the analysis of incoming bulk oils to ensure suitability to process through the plant.
- Responsible for the efficient analysis of customer based enquiry samples that will include the testing of routine and customer complaints, and also the preparation of samples to be supplied to the customer either direct or through customer service managers.
- Sampling of incoming material in drums and IBC’s when required
- Completion of consignment notes when waste material arrives on site ensuring that the consignment note is correctly filled in and compliant with both current waste management guidance and our IPPC permit
- To maintain and calibrate laboratory instrumentation to a level that satisfies ISO9001:2008
- Accurately update laboratory quality records
- Work closely with production management and production staff to ensure the smooth running of the site.
- To assist in general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment is maintained.
Working Hours per Week
- 37.5 Hours per week Monday to Friday
- Monday and Tuesday – 7:00 to 16:15
- Wednesday and Thursday 7:15 to 16:15
- Friday 7:00 to 12:00
Education Level Required
- Must be qualified to HNC in Chemistry minimum
