Bio-Rad has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Assistant to join one of the world leaders in antibody production at our manufacturing facility in Oxford, where we specialize in the manufacture of antibodies for the research community.
The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation, dispensing & labelling of finished products to be sold to customers.
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable following processes, be technically minded, and preferably have some manufacturing experience. While previous experience is desired, it’s not essential as full training will be given.
This role will give you the chance to learn about Bio-Rad’s products, and how antibody production works, and the chance for long term growth & development as part of a small, friendly team.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation, dispensing and labelling of finished products following set procedures
- Working to a pre-defined schedule
- Maintain and prepares records, reports and documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory of consumables within the manufacturing facility
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on some equipment
Essentials
- Conscientious, with an eye for detail
- Ability to adhere closely to written procedures
- Basic IT competence (Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Good communication & time management skills
Desirables
- 1-2 years’ work experience in a commercial/manufacturing/process-oriented role
Education
- GCSE maths & English
- GCSE or A-level in science preferred
