At Labcorp Drug Development in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire we are looking to recruit a Laboratory Analyst to join our Metabolism team.
Job responsibilities include:
Develop competent laboratory skills to support assigned duties.
Complete assigned tasks and projects, by following instructions, SOPs and protocols that apply to the role. These tasks will include solution and sample preparation following defined procedures (eg weighing, dissolution, dilution, protein precipitation, solid phase extraction)
Undertake routine analysis of standards and samples using LC-MS/MS analysis techniques.
Maintain study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Review own work for overall legibility, accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment..
Provide constructive feedback to supervisor or team on study progress
Persevere and offer solutions to resolve problems as they occur; inform the Study Director of any unforeseen circumstances that may affect the integrity of the study.
Contribute ideas and thoughts to enhance service and improve processes

Education:
You will ideally be educated to degree level in biology or biochemistry. However, we would be interested in candidates who are educated to "A" Level or equivalent in the science subjects as full training will be provided.
Experience:
Some laboratory experience would be beneficial however full training will be provided
Experience of using LCMS/MS of knowledge of would be ideal
A desire to work in a regulated scientific environment is essential as is attention to detail and working to strict deadlines
