ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories play a deeply important function within our manufacturing facility in Reading where we produce the whole range of Gillette Shaving Gels and Foams. Technicians have a meaningful role analysing raw materials, intermediates as well as finished product to demonstrate quality compliance and allow release of finished product. On a day-to-day level, this involves sampling, testing, calibration, and data analysis. But you'll also have wider responsibilities.
THIS ROLE IS FOR A 12-HOUR SHIFT-BASED TECHNICIAN ROTATING NIGHTS AND DAYS, AVERAGING 37.5 HOURS A WEEK. THIS ROLE FLOWS BETWEEN BOTH MICROBIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY LABS, WITH WORKING PATTERNS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND:
You have relevant Science qualifications at GCSE and A-Level/NVQ (or equivalents).LABORATORY SKILLS:
Analytical Chemistry skills (e.g. titration, gas chromatography) and/or Microbiological techniques (e.g. aseptic preparation, organism isolation and identification) with practical laboratory experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting, is desirable.BE TRANSPARENT, INCLUSIVE AND COLLABORATIVE
