In the role of a Lab Technician at Bolton you will support the production of customer High Performance Resin Flooring with demonstrations & samples. This role will involve:
- Receipt of customer samples order, including review of requested items for viability and confirmation of expected timelines
- Production of liquid resin/screed samples in accordance with defined work instructions
- Preparation of substrate surfaces pre-application, to allow for liquid samples to be applied to technical specifications
- Organisation of cured resin/screed samples for shipping/movement to cutting area
- Production of ‘presentation standard’ customer demonstration samples
- Maintenance of area stocks of raw materials, consumables, tools and retained customer demonstration samples
- Maintenance of working area to a high level of safety and cleanliness
The position requirements include:
- Effective time management, allowing independent working including setting priorities and delivering on scheduled workloads
- Ability to learn and apply defined processes in line with established test-methods and standard operating procedures
- Exhibits a keen eye for quality and shows good levels of initiative
- Exhibits strong communication and inter-personnel skills to enable customer demonstrations and key stakeholder engagement
- Exhibits good organisational skills, complies with all safety regulations and maintains a clean working area
- Previous experience of hand-application techniques
- Previous experience of High Performance Flooring application techniques and products
This role is based at the Sherwin-Williams Bolton Manufacturing site in Greater Manchester and works Monday to Friday. On the rare occasion they could be the need to travel to a customer to support.
