About the role
We have an opportunity for two Clinical Trials Laboratory Technicians to join our team in the Sample Handling Lab which is located within in the Cancer and Haematology Centre in the Churchill Hospital, Oxford processing patient samples from cancer clinical trials.
The role of the post holders will be to take receipt of and process clinical samples according to defined laboratory protocols. This will involve several techniques including centrifugation of blood samples, separation of plasma/serum and also of white cells for analysis at other laboratories. The successful post holders will also be required to obtain an Honorary NHS Contract.
These are full-time posts available on a 2-year fixed term contract.
About you
You should be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and have good manual dexterity, accuracy and laboratory experience. An ability to communicate well both written and verbally and to work within a team are essential. Some flexible working will be required. Experience of working in a regulatory environment will be an advantage but specific in-house training will be provided.
