gap personnel Exeter are currently recruiting for 2 Lab Technicians for a independent beverage solution provider based in Bridgewater. This is a permanent position with the company.
As a lab technician you will take full responsibility for sampling, testing and evaluation of raw materials, in process samples and finished products associated with the production. You will be joining a company that is focused on global innovation, who look beyond the label and see their people, solutions and innovations to take 100% responsibility for the quality delivered to customers.
As a lab technician, you will be responsible for:
To organise any subcontracted work to external laboratories, send product samples and collate the results that are returned.
Collect, organise, identify, and store raw material samples before during and after testing under suitable conditions.
Perform chemical, organoleptic, and rapid micro tests in accordance with the documented methods and procedures in an accurate and reproducible manner
Record the results of tests and various other calculations accurately using, where appropriate, the laboratory’s information management system.
Working Hours & Pay Rate:
4 on 4 off rotatation 06.00-17.00
£25,000 per annum
Essential for the role:
Minimum 1 years experience in a lab technician position within a food/drink environment.
Understands QMS/IMS processes and procedures
Laboratory experience in a laboratory environment
Used to dealing with customers in an audit setting.
Successful candidates will be a pro-active team worker, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others
