FTE £23,000 per annum- Part-time, Permanent
Overall purpose of the job:
- To manage both the current daily requirements of the quality production team, routine quality control tasks.
- To be responsible for the routine support of the technical team, supporting ongoing and new product registrations globally and contributing to research and development of current and new product formulations.
General Description - Task related:
Quality management role:
- Raw material and finished product QC release
- Supporting quality audits
- Trial blends
- Monthly reporting
Registrations support
- Sample requests to be sent out
- Third party laboratory data to be logged and data interpretation
- Real time stability testing in house
R&D
- Trial mixes
- Development of protocols
- Support of microbiological programmes with third party establishments
- International support with laboratory analysis, co-ordinating, originating, interpretation, reporting
- Monthly reporting
Budget management
Qualifiations:
- Chemistry or Biochemistry degree advantageous but not essential
- Mathematic and English GCSE or equivalent
- Microsoft skills especially spreadsheets
- X3 background would be helpful

- Numerate and logical mindset
- Able to follow instructions and methodologies
- Neat and orderly in the laboratory
- Articulate
- Able to think ‘outside’ the box
- Laboratory management
- Quality management including control and assurance
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Presentation skills useful but not essential
- Awareness of environmental footprint and any impacts
- Skill set in the laboratory including, acid titration, sample preparation, handlings of powders, liquids: oils and water based

Part-time hours: 16-18.75 per week
Salary: £9,813.00-£11,500.00 per year
