Do you have Laboratory experience ? Or excellent attention to detail?
We are currently recruiting for a full-time temporary Laboratory Assistant to work on site at one of our Headington based departments starting ASAP for approx. 12 weeks.
Duties:
- Labelling slides and plates in preparation for the week's work
- Placing four coverslips into each well of a 6 well plate (approximately 120 plates per week)
- Adding liquids to plates and allowing them to sit for 24 hours before removing the liquid
- Booking in incoming reagents and ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Maintaining inventory and restocking shelves as needed
Person specification
• High attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and carry out repetitive tasks efficiently
- No scientific knowledge or laboratory experience required
