This is an ideal opportunity if you’ve got experience of working in a pathology department or healthcare environment. We’ll expect you to demonstrate technical skills in pathology disciplines and the use of laboratory information systems. Ideally, you’ll also have phlebotomy experience, but this isn’t essential as we can provide training and assessment. You’ll certainly bring to the role knowledge of Microsoft Office, plus great numeracy and communication skills.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will:
Provide high-quality support to our talented Pathology team of Scientists
Be responsible for specimen administration
Manage enquiry handling
Prioritise a busy workload
Keep calm under pressure and remain professional
