Job Summary:
Duration Brewery, a renowned craft brewery, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. This role will focus on driving sales growth and expanding our market presence across East Anglia. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling our exceptional range of beers through local wholesalers and gaining listings with pubs and pub groups. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate beer enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and has a deep understanding of the local beer market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and maximize market penetration within the designated territories.
2. Wholesaler Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local wholesalers, negotiate pricing and distribution agreements, and monitor sales performance.
3. Pub and Pub Group Acquisition: Identify and target potential pubs and pub groups within the region, pitch Duration Brewery's product range, negotiate contracts, and secure listings.
4. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth. Use data-driven insights to develop sales strategies and plans.
6. Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, performance analysis, and market feedback. Present reports to the management team and make recommendations for improvements.
7. Promotional Activities: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional activities, tastings, and events to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
8. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and educational seminars for wholesalers, pub staff, and consumers to enhance their knowledge and understanding of Duration Brewery's products.
9. Territory Management: Effectively manage the assigned territories, including route planning, scheduling appointments, and optimizing sales opportunities.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production, logistics, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of products to customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably within the beer or beverage industry.
- Excellent knowledge of the local beer market, including understanding of the preferences and trends in East Anglia.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territories and occasionally attend industry events and trade shows.
- Valid driver's license.
