Lead UK & Ireland Category, Product and Pricing marketing strategy (incl. but not limited to new product launches; marketing product calendar and category strategy) towards achievement of regional growth targets and market share gains across an omni-channel environment.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage the marketing calendar (NPL, innovation…), side by side launch plan, support strategy to deliver commercial objectives for the UK region.
Lead 360 launch planning in collaboration with UK Marketing Leadership and Global brand teams.
Lead forecasting process for all limited life and continuous new launches, in partnership with National Accounts Team, Channel marketing, Sales and Demand Planning.
Drive key Retailer partnerships such as Harrods, John Lewis & Partners and Selfridges with activation plans throughout the year inclusive of product assortment, localized gift sets / TOAs, eventing, brand investment.
Define the product positioning and pricing strategies for the UK & Eire region across our omni channel environment , outlining where to play and how to win to optimize market positioning, deliver financial targets and connect meaningfully with consumers.
Lead sampling strategy
Manage Product budget (GWP, COGS and collateral budgets)
Lead assortment strategy and definition (incl. range rationalization)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages relevant categories. Drive launch support planning, ensuring communication to the brand, and overseeing execution and performance analysis.
Leads the planning and delivery of the UK marketing calendar.
Partners with the Demand Planning Team to develop forecasts for new product launches in relevant categories, supported by the Marketing & Consumer Engagement Manager.
Holds monthly updates with Demand Planner to ensure correct inventory of saleable line items based on marketing calendar and strategy to minimise out of stocks and excesses.
Works to ensure all programme elements move forward on a timely basis (including copy, legal/claims approval, artwork proofing, merchandising and display elements, saleable, samples, testers, etc.).
With Marketing & Consumer Engagement Manager & Visual Merchandising Team, determines merchandising ‘look’ of new product launches and trends. Lead all briefing of merchandising units with the in-house 3D designer & manage the internal sign-off process of all units.
Supports on media planning for the relevant product categories by providing product information and business objectives.
Prepares and presents the marketing programmes for the relevant categories at seasonal Sales Conferences.
Marketing lead on key retailers, developing tailored strategies and executing activation plans in partnership with online and national account teams.
Define the promotional strategy to deliver financial objectives whilst protecting brand equity
Plan and deliver a meaningful program of exclusive launches and promotional activity, optimized by retailer and/or channel.
Manage consumer eventing via tiered approach with support from Assistant Product Manager
End-to-end local set management collaborating across channels, and closely with global team for brand alignment
Present new launch strategy at biannual retailer meetings.
Regularly input to budget updates for all point of sale & retailer specific activities. Ensure purchase orders are raised on timely basis and are in line with budgets, with Marketing Assistant Manager
Oversee various budget requirements e.g. building and updating every month within requirements
Leads discussions at Operations meetings as they relate to relevant categories.
Updates Marketing & Consumer Engagement Manager and Sales Director on any new product shipping information.
Oversees preparation of all creative/copy requests relating to the above categories, with support from Assistant Product Manager
Lead and input into creative ideation for new launches and key basic business products.
Lead the annual UK & EIRE pricing review, aligning all stakeholders.
o Conduct in-depth annual review of addressable markets, price change and share movements and competitive landscape.
o Manage the execution of the price change process (with support of Assistant Manager), overseeing implementation across all channels and adhering to corporate deadlines and legal requirements.
Communicates on regular basis with Global Marketing to outline market needs. Provides regular feedback on new product launches and other programmes, as well as on local market trends and competitive activity.
Work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing team, CRM, Retail Marketing and E-commerce to ensure all teams are well briefed on forthcoming launches and activities to ensure consistency of communications across the brand
Manage excess stock levels to drive budget efficiency, maintaining volume less than 5% of inventory.
Qualifications
- Education to degree level or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in product marketing within a management role, with a strong understanding and passion for the beauty industry.
- Strong commercial omni-channel acumen with thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and market /consumer trends.
- Proven ability to drive share gains /category growth via commercial launch /activation plans and measure performance.
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving momentum on projects and proactively planning ahead.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strong leadership skills:
o Able to take a wide, strategic view of all responsibilities and projects, conscious of implications for other departments and proactive in aligning and engaging all in the plan.
o Experienced in managing people, demonstrating a consistent focus on coaching and developing direct reports
