Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Analyst with Stobbs (IP).
This job is based in Manchester/surrounding area with the opportunities of traveling around the UK (expenses covered by Stobbs).
Job Description:
Working at one of the leading brand advisory firms in this field and working for household and world-famous brands, this Data Analyst will be involved in various brand enforcement projects.
You will be working within a small team at Stobbs. You will be assigned a supervisor with whom you will have regular contact.
You will be attending UK law enforcement raids across the country (mainly around Manchester, Birmingham, and Leicester) on behalf of Stobbs’ household clients and providing on-site your assistance.
You will need to collect data from various sources and record the data at internal databases. You will need to analyse the data and identify the potential links. This may require you to undertake additional high-level desktop investigations.
You will need to have an excellent ability to use Excel and other data analysing tools.
You also need to provide reports on your findings (normally monthly). You will need to communicate your findings clearly and concisely.
You need to be familiar with various brand protection platforms and databases. These platforms and databases will be a key source of your data. Trainings will be provided for you to understand and make the most use of these platforms and databases.
Sometimes you will be responsible for delivering trainings to UK law enforcement officers and Border Force officers, using your knowledge gained through this job.
This is a hybrid of office work and boots-on-the-groundwork. It will require you to travel to other parts of the country from time to time (expenses covered by Stobbs).
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Liaising with UK law enforcement officers (such as Trading Standards and police officers) to obtain the relevant data as your supervisor may request from time to time.
- Attending law enforcement raids across the UK and providing assistance on site
- Conducting training and education sessions for UK law enforcement officers and Border Force officers.
- Identifying data from various sources and accurately recording data
- Confidently using technology tools and Excel sheets
- Independently analysing the data
- Ability to communicate your ideas, findings, and conclusions confidently.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Personal Qualities and Skills Required:
- An interest in brands and brand protection.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to keep information confidential (a non-disclosure agreement will be signed before commencing the work)
- Flexible – ability to work out of ordinary hours occasionally.
- Ability to communicate confidently and contextually.
- Robust numerical and data analysis skills.

- Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
- Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
- Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
