KS3 Lead - Science (Redditch Pyramid)
Main Pay Scale + TLR2 (Leadership Spine available for exceptional candidates)

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Science Leader with an exciting remit
of overseeing KS3 Science at our two feeder middle schools and at Arrow Vale. As a school, we
received an ‘Outstanding’ grade in all categories from Ofsted in 2014 and 2018. We would like
to offer you the chance to work alongside a dedicated, friendly and hardworking Science
department highlighted in the most recent Ofsted inspection ‘outcomes in Science are
exceptionally high because of the high quality of leadership and training’.
The Science department currently offers GCSE qualifications in Dual award trilogy, Separate
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and also offers ‘A’ Levels in Biology, Chemistry and
Physics, along with BTEC Level 3 Science. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 would be of
benefit. Results for the past 3 years have been strong at both GCSE and A Level.
The successful candidate will be given opportunities to work across the MAT on reviewing,
developing and improving the KS3 curriculum through our effective co-design. This role will
also include ensuring the successful implementation of this curriculum within the Arrow Vale
pyramid. Opportunities shall be offered to act as an SLE where appropriate.
