Job description
The Programme
The Financial Services Academy is a two year programme which offers successful applicants an opportunity to build an exciting career within KPMG. You could be working as an Analyst on a Remediation programme, or on other client projects such as Know Your Customer, and you will play a key role in helping our clients meet Regulatory expectations and ensuring that their customers receive good outcomes. You’ll receive on the job training, support and development opportunities, whilst undertaking a formal relevant qualification.
Conduct and Remediation forms a huge part of what we do, and following your initial training you’ll join one of our live client projects. Our engagements can vary in size and scope – you could be part of a team of 10 up to 650 colleagues working on a project at any one time. As the nature of our operations is fast paced and target driven, we are looking for individuals who thrive under pressure and enjoy a challenge! Upon completion of your first two years, you will have the opportunity to continue growing your career in KPMG.
Your Role
Your role within the Financial Services Academy will be primarily focused on putting things right for our clients and their customers. This could involve being part of a Remediation programme where you would conduct file reviews, engaging directly with customers to understand their personal experience and impacts, investigating complaints in line with our client’s policy or conducting a periodic review in line with client policy to fulfil Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects alongside experienced Managers and Analysts as you learn and develop your skills and knowledge. Our Academy career path offers the opportunity to study and gain qualifications whilst building up great experience along the way. You will obtain at least two qualifications within your first two years: a Certificate in Financial Services from the Chartered Insurance Institute to provide you with a broad knowledge base, followed by one or more modules in some of the following areas: Fraud investigation, mortgage remediation and financial planning.
Our Financial Services Analysts are inquisitive with a strong attention to detail; keen to investigate cases and deliver not only good customer outcomes, but a great customer experience. Joining our Academy will give you the opportunity to work directly with some of the largest Financial Services institutions.
If you have read this far then we would love to learn more about you than what’s shown on your CV!
We would like you to write a few paragraphs (500-1000 words) telling us about yourself; your background, what you are looking for in a role and why you are interested in the Financial Services Academy.
Your CV is not your application – your cover letter is! We run a blind interview process for our academy, so this really does count! We’ll be looking at the following points:
- Tell us a bit about you and your background.
- Why are you applying? What interests you about a role in remediation and KPMG?
- What qualities, skills, or experiences have you gained to date that you believe would make you a great addition to our Academy team? You don’t need to keep this to work or education; tell us about things you’ve learned in your personal life, or in your interests outside of work.
What we are looking for:
- You will have an interest in Financial Services topics such as Conduct & Remediation and Know Your Customer
- You will be passionate about delivering good customer outcomes
- You will be able to manage workloads whilst studying towards a qualification
- You’ll be comfortable working in an environment that is constantly changing
- You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills and will have excellent attention to detail
- Be able to deliver quality outcomes in a target driven, fast-paced environment and,
- Be proficient in the use of MS Office package

We are currently operating a hybrid working practice, with a requirement to attend your base office a minimum* of 2 days per week.
- There may be a requirement to work more than 2 days in the office or on client site dependant on business requirement
