Job description
Quarter are looking for a reliable, fun and hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team on a part time basis. This position offers 12-18 hours per week, usually worked over approximately 3 shifts each week (ideal to pair with studies or other commitments).
Quarter is an independent group of restaurants and hotels in Clifton, Bristol. The sucessful candidate will join our friendly team at the Square.
Details of the Kitchen Porter role:
- 16-24 hours per week (4 shifts) - overtime may be available on occasion
- Working to a rota that will include evening and weekend work on rotation

Typical shift timings: you can expect shifts to consistently fall from 4pm or 5pm - close (10pm-11pm) Mon-Sat and from 11am - 5pm on a Sunday

£9.60 per hour plus a share of the service charge at each venue

Straight shifts only
- £50 signing on bonus
What will you be doing as Kitchen Porter?
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided)
- Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items (all units have catering dishwashers)
- Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices
- Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins
Our ideal Kitchen Porter:
- May have had some prior experience in a similar role - but this is not required as full training will be offered
- Will be a hard worker and comfortable in a fast paced environment
- Will be a friendly and fun member of the team - willing to get stuck in when needed
- Will be reliable and committed to supporting the venues they are working in

Interview process:
Successful applicants will be contacted by email in the first instance. You will then have a short telephone interview followed by a final round, paid, trial shift / interview with the Head Chef at the restaurant.
