Kitchen Porter at The Swan at Lavenham Hotel & Spa
Salary: Up to £9.50 per hour- dependant on age
The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa are currently searching for a Kitchen Porter to join the Kitchen team.
As a Kitchen Porter, you will work as a member of the kitchen team, ensuring that all service and preparation areas are kept clean and clear at all times. In non-service times you will required to carry out thorough cleaning of these areas as detailed in the company HACCP policy. You will also be required when needed to support the team with basic food preparation. Full support and training will be given.
We are looking for a part-time team member. This role will involve some evening and weekend work on a rota basis.
We pay national minimum wage dependant on your age. Upon joining the company you will be given a tailored training programme, and should you be aged between 16 – 20, this mean’s your pay could increase to £8.00 per hour or £9.50 per hour (21 – 22 years old) following a successful probationary period.

Your key tasks as a Kitchen Porter:
- Ensure that all washing up has been done by the time the shift ends
- Empty and disinfect bins and the bin yard area after every refuse collection
- Ensure that service entrances are kept tidy and rubbish-free
- Help to receive deliveries
- Help to store food and supplies
